Like many people today, I am in front of my computer more than 8hours a day. I do my work mostly through the internet. 1. Facebook. I must say that Facebook is part of my daily life. Facebooking is one of my favorite activities. Many people have become quite addicted to it. Maybe because it lets you connect with people, not just your immediate family and friends, but those long time friends you haven’t talked to in ages, or find your long lost relatives. You could just as easily leave messages, posting on each other’s walls, and chat with them all in one website. Facebook truly changed the way we communicate with others.

2. Twitter. Twitter is also one of those social networking medias that lets you share what’s on your mind in short, precise messages. You could even get updates from your friends, or even from celebrities who you choose to follow. It’s really an easy way to be in-the-know, without actually doing intensive research on a subject or on another person. You could let yourself be heard and let other people know your thoughts when you feel like it.

3. YouTube. We all have something to share. We all want to have our own videos put up in the internet for everyone to see. That’s what YouTube did right. That’s why it is very popular among “netizens”. You could share almost anything and everything, just remember to read the terms and conditions, privacy policies and what not. Though I don’t upload videos, I do enjoy browsing through the different videos, and even watch latest trailers through YouTube. :)

I have been admiring this phone since it has been release here in the Philippines. I wasn’t really planning on finding a new phone since mine was still working and has the applications and features that I needed- that’s what I thought. When I saw Sony Ericsson’s latest release, the Xperia X10, I cannot pretend any longer. I wanted this phone. Here are a few reasons why:

Xperia X10 is Sony Ericsson’s first android phone. That’s what I’ve learned through my research. So what is an android phone? You would be surprise that I’m not the first one to ask such question. An android smartphone is run by an operating system called Android fit for mobile devices. It has a lot of features including a 2D and 3D graphic library, and can support connectivity technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Android’s web browser is based on an open-source WebKit application framework. So if you are using an Android smartphone, you can be sure that you have one of the best smartphone applications. For me, it would be like having a pocket pc without the hassle of bringing my notebook with me anywhere.

Xperia X10 keeps you constantly connected. Since social networking is already a big part of my life, having this smartphone in hand keeps me updated. With it’s Timescape feature, it organizes all the Facebook updates, Twitter feeds, and e-mail. You can now easily access all these in one application.

The 8.1 megapixel camera is also a notable advantage. Having such phone, I wouldn’t even need a camera with me all the time. I can just grab my phone and take a picture anywhere and anytime. An 8.1 megapixel is a big plus on its features since not all phones have such high definition camera with them.

I don’t know exactly when I’ll be able to buy such phone, but I know that I will definitely get one for myself. I hope I had given you at least a glimpse on how wonderful I think this smartphone is. Hopefully, I can get a hold of this before a new phone with much more wonderful features comes along. ^__^

Change I Must

Having a Blog is like having your very own journal for public display. In this time and age where the Internet has dominated our lives, having your journal out in the public is not a thing to be dreadful about. Instead, it empowers us to make our voices heard without straining our throats out.

And thus, three years ago, I created this blog. It was supposed to be a blog where I can have my thoughts heard without needing a publicist and hopefully touch other people's lives. Two years later, I started writing articles that reviews products and movies and anything I find interesting. And now, (almost) three years since my first post (last December 2007), I have decided to make some changes.

First off would be the Blog Title. I have decided to change the name so as to relate it more on whats inside the blog. This blog would not only contain my original works but also it would focus more on product, movie, book, site or series reviews and overviews. I have constantly updated this blog but nearly not enough to have one article a week but that's just one of the things I would like to change. I would try to make more time in posting topics that interests you.

I hope this change is for the better for I am hoping to have better blogging experience with you guys.^__^ Thank you for all those who still visit me every now and then and for all those who left me messages at the shoutbox (I have temporarily removed the shoutbox, I'll put it back in a while). ^__^ Thank you and have a great Blogging day :)

Must Have SONY VAIO

It is safe to say that I’m not the type of girl who loves fashion so much that I have to have the latest couture dress or accessory. I’m not even the kind of girl who goes gaga over new or latest technologies. I am the type of girl who loves gadgets more than clothes, and even prefer computer games over accessories. But still, I can survive without buying the latest cellphone model, the latest couture dress, or the latest gadget. But once in a while I come across something that just grabs my heart and squeezes it tight because there is nothing I want more than that something at that specific moment. Do I even make sense? ^_^

The “something” I am talking about is the SONY VAIO E SERIES. I saw it hours ago when I went to the mall and decided to check out the Sony station and see if there’s something new, and indeed there was!

I really can’t provide a good review since I’ve never used it and I can’t buy- for now ^__^ But base on the review I just read from Laptop Magazine, it’s just the Laptop I’m looking for just because it has strong graphic performance. Here’s the specs I gathered:

Escape From Reality

Let's face it, most of us would love to have an opportunity to escape from reality. To be able to sit back, relax, have fun, take on an adventure, and maybe to fall in love. I've had my moments when reality was just too fast and too tiring, that I want to be lost in another world. And so began my fascination with books. I have not read a hundred books, but I do know some great works of fiction that was able to pull me in within the story and even be able to relate to the characters. With this, I give you my current favorite books. ^__^

First Book: The Mortal Instruments Series

There are three books in this series written by Cassandra Clare. This is a young adult/urban fantasy genre, with unique set of characters and not to mention a very unique plot. I loved this book simply because of it's characters. The characters were believable and the story enabled them to grow and you would know more about them as you read through the story. You would come to love them as if you really do know them personally. And the story- the story was just plain awesome! The twists and the turns was well-written. All in all, it is a great read indeed.

Second Book: The Bridgerton Series

If you want to fall in love, read The Bridgerton Series by Julia Quinn. It's as simple as that. You could choose who you want to fall in love with: either to a Duke (The Duke and I), a Viscount (The Viscount who Loved Me), a Rake (Romancing Mr. Bridgerton), or I can list them all down and I would never be able to finish this article. ^__^

So anyway, this series is set in the Regency Era, and it has all the ingredients for a romance novel and more. The heroines are feisty and strong-willed, the heroes are far from being perfect but still absolutely perfect with their imperfections (if you know what I mean ^^). So yes, if you want to have a relaxing, feel-good day, you should definitely read this series.

Third Book: The Alchemist

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is one of the most inspirational books I have ever read. The book was about following your dreams, and being courageous enough to follow and fulfill it. Paulo Coelho had written so many great and memorable books, but this one really touched my heart and my life. As I read through the pages, I also went with the characters, and journeyed with them. So if you want to remember what it feels like to dream, and dream big, this books is an absolute must-read! ^^

I can't wait and I just have to share this to everyone! My friend sent me a message about 4pm and she gave me one of the best news I've heard this year. She said that she saw the first book of Mortal Instruments - City of Bones, at the Mall last night! I nearly flew all the way to the mall just to get my copy. Up till now I can't believe that I was able to get dress under 3min and arrived at the mall in less than five ^__^ addict much?! hmmm well yes, I guess I can say I'm addicted to Jace Wayland :)

So I just have to share that I did get my copy and now, I officially have the complete trilogy of Mortal Instruments :)

My Christmas Wishlist

Holidays are coming!!! I'm really looking forward to the Holidays, not because of the presents but because I get to relax, spend time with my family, and also spoil myself. ^_^ But if Santa can hear me I do hope he knows how to blog so that he'll be able to find my wishlist in time for Christmas ^__^

My Christmas Wishlist:
Like having a Gene in a bottle, I have allowed myself 3 wishes this Christmas. Of course I would have loved more, but it's not appropriate to be greedy, in Christmas of all days! ^^

It's not really that expensive and I can definitely buy one for myself, except I have read the book (through ebooks) and I can't bring myself to buy one for collection's sake! But then again, if I begin to be desperate enough I might actually buy one for myself. :)

2nd Wish: Sony Ericson Satio
Now this is a lot more expensive (Santa watch out)! I still have a fully functional, and not to mention great Sony Ericson phone, but then again, who wouldn't want a 12mp, touchscreen, wi-fi ready phone? It's like carrying a digital camera wherever you go. :)

3rd Wish: Kipling Hand bag

My current obsession- bags. I've been longing to buy one, but my parents always tell me that I have enough bags. But you know, I would never have enough bags!! So Santa, please please please, give me a kipling bag? It's not that expensive... not compared to Sony Ericson Satio...

But even if my wishes won't be granted, I wouldn't feel sad, or be dissappointed, cause all I really want is to have my family safe, healthy, and happy all year round, all the days of our lives. I think that's the best blessing I could ever receive. ^__^

I've been reading a number of books lately, some of them are what you call ebooks. But when I come across a book that really catches my attention, and I find that I love, love, love the story, I try to go and find that said book. Cruelty to Animals: Stop and Reflect

Animal cruelty was never new to me. I have known about these problems growing up, but truth be told, I’ve never put too much thought about standing up for those animals or even lead a campaign against the said cruelties. But one night, while I took my time surfing the net and updating my stats in Facebook, a friend of mine sent me a link to a certain video that was posted on Facebook. I would want to put the video here, simply because I don’t ever want to watch it again. And yes, maybe it is a better idea to put the said video in order to open the minds of people, to move them into making a stand. So if you want to watch the video just search Youtube and put in the search panel “truth about fur”.

To put it simply, I watched animals being stepped on, their heads slammed hard on pavements, and worst- skinned alive. Yes, the truth about those fur coats, those bags, wallets, clothes that have animal skin on them, was clearly presented in that video. Though I am certainly not guilty of all these cruelty, I can still see their wounded faces, their eyes that seem to plea for help. And I see myself reflecting, what have they done to us that they deserve to be treated like that? They may not be human like us, nor are they capable of logic (this is still debatable ^^ ) but they still have life. Blood still flows within their veins, their heart still beats the same way we, humans have blood and heart beating within our chest.

I am writing this to make a stand. I may not be able to campaign or walk around streets carrying placards saying “STOP CRUELTY TO ANIMALS” but I’m making a stand in the way I know how. I do hope people will care to read this post and do hope to be curious enough as to search that video so that their eyes may be opened to the reality that these issues does exist. I know that I will never be the same after watching that video, and I never want to forget it no matter how sick it may be, so that I will always be reminded that these animals deserve to be treated with respect like you would respect any other creation of God

Fairy Tales Remain in Story Books

Most little girls love fairy tales and happy ever afters, of dreaming the perfect wedding, trying out their sister's dress or their mother's make up. Little do they know that the grown up world they look up to so much are not everything they dreamed up to be. They don't know how cruel this world they rush to, can be become. They still see the world at it's finest- with rainbows and butterflies. They still live in a world where the only man in their lives are their dads and their most loyal and best friend is their mom, and their only competition is their sister- if they have any.

As these little girls grow up, they are thrown in a reality much harsher than they have expected. The fairy tale had turned to sad realities, happy ever afters turned to dust, the perfect wedding remains nothing but a dream. They are introduced to a world where they would meet more idiotic boys than prince charmings, where real, honest and loyal best friend is so hard to find and keep, a world where they think that every other girl is a competition, where wounded hearts are much harder to cure than wounded knees.

But growing up are not all heartaches and pains With it comes memories and friendships making it all worth it. For every trial comes wisdom and strength that makes these grown up girls- not damsel in distress, but women who can stand on their own and save themselves instead of waiting to be rescued. We grow up realizing that fairy tales remain in story books and that there are no happy endings, simply because life goes on. Life is not put into a halt when you are at your happiest. We now see the world at its worst- no rainbows, no butterflies but we try to make the best out of every good chance and opportunity. These are what separates us from those damsel in distress. These are what defines us as women.

A Fleeting Thought- The Idea of Edward Cullen

I’ve read the twilight saga twice- yes, I know it’s obsessive, but who could resist Edward Cullen? I certainly can’t. But as I reflected the glory that is Edward Cullen, I realized, it was not the vampire with a silver Volvo that appealed to me most. It was the thought, the idea, the hope that somewhere there might be someone, who could love another with the same intensity of love- maybe even more.

I may be very idealistic when I say that I dream of a guy who would be capable of loving me without having any downfalls or any kind of price to pay in exchange for that amount of love. I dream of a guy who could love me in as much intensity, in as much love I am ever capable of giving another. To whom I can be totally selfless knowing that I wouldn’t end up being a martyr, because my love is being reciprocated. I want to have that chance of feeling wanted, like I don’t have to push myself to him for him to notice me. To have that chance of feeling being cared for, secure, without any fear of heartaches. This kind of ideal may be very selfish to some point of view, but I’d rather be selfish and honest than drown in disillusion of any other kind of ideal. I don’t want to continue lying to myself that I’m not as idealistic in relationships. It’s not Edward Cullen I had fallen in love with, it’s the idea of Edward Cullen that had me head over heels.

DECIPHERING A MAN’S MIND

Men often complain how hard it is to understand a woman. What they don’t know is that they, too, test a woman’s sanity in trying to comprehend what language they speak. In one of my conversations with my friends, we often wonder what goes on inside a man’s mind, what his motives are, or why on earth is he doing such things. Try as we might to comprehend, to get a clue as to what goes into the inner workings of their minds, we can’t seem to grasp the exact reasons behind their actions.

Men and their “too friendly” nature. There are times that we meet a guy who acts a little more friendly than necessary. At first we think nothing of it until we find ourselves gushing over him despite our mind’s protests. In our eyes, he seemed to stare at you a little too long, hold your hand a little tighter, care for you a little more than necessary, wants to have a conversation with you even without a real topic. He will leave you in a daze. And with one quick turn of events, he leaves you hanging and your left questioning yourself whether or not you have fabricated all of that yourself or if it really did happen. Your sanity would be put to question and all you have are memories and that you don’t even have a solid proof. Was he just being friendly? Didn’t he notice that your smile was a little sweeter, your gaze seem to fall to him despite your desperate effort not to look at him, that you put a little more effort for him. In the end, you’re left with more questions than answers, left wondering what the heck happened to him.

Boys will be boys. Most women- not to generalize all women, can’t seem to comprehend this “boys will be boys” notion. In my point of view, despite them being a man, they will always be boys at heart. They will always love almost the same toys. I think that they will always bring with them their fixations on what they love best. Most common would be the addiction over computer games. You could not get in between them and a great game. No matter how hard you try to contact him or grab his attention, he will still have his eyes on the computer. Your greatest rival: a computer. How pathetic is that? Another example of this notion would be: Men will always have their “boys”. There will be times that a guy would blow off a girl because of his friends. If you have a man that would choose you over his friends, you are one lucky girl. Though we also understand that we can’t make him choose between us and his friends- that’s a little selfish, but sometimes, it’s nice to feel that he wants to be with us more, that he had chosen us in his own free will. But most often than not, you end up giving up understanding him and resign to the idea that boys will always be boys.

Reading between the lines. Men often complain that they can’t read between the lines, that girls should just tell it straight. Well, I wish that they would take their own advice and tell it straight so that girls wouldn’t read between the lines. The problem with girls is that, we read between the lines too much. Sometimes, things get blown out of proportion because girls do this too much but this is not entirely our fault. If only he would tell it straight to us what exactly is he planning, what his actions meant, what his words meant, then we would not get the chance to read the meaning behind what he is saying or doing to us. We wouldn’t have to keep guessing then hoping only to get our hopes crushed because of a misunderstanding. And though we don’t expect them to fully understand our train of thought, we at least hope that they would be sensitive enough to understand what we are trying to say without really saying it out loud. We hope that they would be sensitive enough to notice the extra effort we put into looking good without explaining why we do, why we stare at their eyes when they speak, why we want to talk to them without really explaining why. We don’t expect them to read our minds; we expect them to be sensitive enough to be able to read between the lines.

These are just a glimpse of what tests girls’ sanity every now and then. I could go on and on listing every single detail, every single fact, but reality is: we can’t truly understand the inner workings of a man’s mind. We can only hope to learn the language they speak for us to be able to better decipher the words behind the actions or be a little more understanding when they are doing their thing or be a little more patient when they can’t read between the lines. Men are from Mars and women are from Venus, if this is true, it does not necessarily mean that we are bound to test each other’s sanity, we can always meet half-way.

Confessions of a Broken Heart

I used to be good with words. I used to be able to express my thoughts, my feelings, my very being, effortlessly putting them to words. Now, I find myself unable to write. It's not because I don't know the right words but because even when I do, they fail to express the deep yet hollowed feelings that come with those words. I am not in the state of depression- no, depression is too strong and sad word to describe me. All I am, is a girl who have loved another in a way thatI did not even know was possible. When I was young, I thought that I'd NEVER be able to love another in such a way that would overcome all odds, accept all pain and not once would I doubt my feelings. But now I realize just how wrong I was. I have come to love another and felt with full force just how deep and strong that love was and still is. Even after all the pain, some bitter memories, and some failed expectations, when it all came down to that one fateful night, all my mind could think about was: "I don't want to lose this! I don't ever want to lose this!" And yet, I have to do what I needed to do. The statement "My world just came crashing down" would be an understatement of what I am feeling. Yes, it's melodramatic but if you could be in my place at this very moment you would know just how true these words are. I wish this isn't how I'm feeling but reality is: I am feeling this way. I wish I could numb myself and forget about those painful memories but that would make me a coward. And I am not. All I can do is to wait for that one day. And when that day comes, I will still love him with even more force that my heart is capable of conveying. I may be stupid and I might not have learned my lesson but if it hurts me this much then this can't be the end. If I can't have my happy ever after then I'm damn sure that I'll have my happy beginning.

...of not posting anything decent, I still have nothing to upload^__^ LOL!! I've been working on a new project and it still has 11 chapters (I think?) so I'll probably post that soon. If I get enough readers and comments to some of my stories I might upload it sooner . hahaha. I've been very busy at school and I didn't have the time to do anything else so writing short stories had been halted for a while. And because of certain circumstances like teachers and super busy schedules leading to an unstable mental capacity (huh?? LOL ) I can't think of anything decent to write. So all the stuff I've been working on had ended up either in my recycle bin or in my Drafts folder.^__^

Hidden Affections One shot

Lately, I can't think of anything to post in here that's why today I decided that I'd post the one shot of Hidden Affections that had been sitting here in my computer for a while.^__^ My friends had finished reading this shot and well I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out.^^ This story picks up after the Fireworks Festival and contains only one chapter. It's purpose is for light reading only. I'll update my stories soon, my muse isn't working well again and hadn't given me much inspiration to write up anything decent^__^ So for the meantime I hope you'll be able to enjoy this. Sony Ericsson: W960i

I've had my eye on this phone for quite some time now and I still can't bring myself to buy it not because I'm not impressed but for the lack of funds (LOL!!) So I thought why not feature it on my blog so that if I can't have it then I might persuade people into buying it.

This phone caught my eye because it has a different feel to it. Physically, its not like the other phones I once had with all the joystick and such. W960i is a touch screen with Handwriting recognition software lets you write a character as you would with a pen and transforms it into the corresponding letter on a keyboard, convenient eh? It could also read different types of document formats which would be great when your in a hurry. I really like phones that are both convenient and useful. But W960i isn't just all work and no play kind of phone, it also has a Walkman Player in which you can enjoy your favorite music sorted by artist, album and track and create your own playlist. It also has the same features as any Sony Ericsson phone would have. I am dreaming for this phone. Hopefully I'd be able to buy it soon *crossing my fingers* That's it for now, I'll be back later for more!! See you!!^_^

I was watching Iron Man when the trailer for Wanted was shown on the cinema's screen and I was rendered speechless. Yes, at last another movie worth waiting for from Universal Pictures directed by Timur Beckmambetov, starring Angelina Jolie.

Worth the Wait:

I'm really looking forward for this movie because I want to see how great their special effects would be, not to mention seeing assassins in action would be a treat ^__^ Plus Angelina Jolie plays the role of Wes' tutor making it more worth watching. Don't misunderstand, I am an Angelina fan when it comes to kick-ass movies ^__^ but other than that is a whole lot different story ^^ It airs on June 27, 2009 (well, that's what I've been told) so until then, I'll be waiting and keeping an eye for its premiere.^__^

Tonight (In my time it's 7:30pm ) , I'll post some updates at last on Hidden Affections. I think I'll be able to upload the remaining 3 chapters of the said story. Finally, it has come to an end. Truly bittersweet ne? Anyways, I've been working on a new project the working title is Untitled so basically it doesn't have a title yet LOL!! So enough of this rantings for now, I'll be back later this evening.

"Perhaps love is by nature a sorrowful thing" this was one of those phrases that caught my attention while watching the JDrama Zettai Kareshi based from the Manga Absolute Boyfriend. And I thought that maybe this JDrama would be just like any other; boring and melodramatic. Watching the first episode changed my opinion for the better.

The JDrama is about a girl name Riiko who is very unlucky when it comes to love. Unlucky meaning she always ends up being rejected even before she confesses her feelings. Now I don't know whether that's a sad thing or is quite funny. (sorry..i'm being very insensitive) The first episode proved that it isn't one of those melodramatic series which only leaves you depressed. It is a funny and "feel-good" series that I'll definitely be looking forward to. Especially with Japanese actors and actress as good-looking as these:

I came to a resolution that I'll try to watch this up to it's very last episode. And hopefully, the series will unfold into a very well done JDrama that could prove that Love isn't such a sorrowful thing after all.

Hello everyone!! just dropping by for some updates So I've finally updated Hidden Affections with chapters 10 and 11 up and running. I really am planning to finish that "series". And for another news LOL! I have a new story which I will be posting soon. Finishing some proof-reading and it'll be up and running by tomorrow. It doesn't have a title yet so that's partly why I haven't posted it yet hmm..I guess that's it.

Hidden Affections chapter 10 and 11

The Forbidden Kingdom

The Forbidden Kingdom is one of the most awaited movies of the year. It ranked first place on Yahoo Movie's Top Box Office. The story follows a teenage boy who was transported to ancient China via the magical staff. He was prophesied to be the one who would free the jailed Monkey King. I wont go into the details of the movie so as not to spoil anyone. But as for me, it is one of the best movies I had seen. It is really worth it to watch it on the big screen. The story was great and even the effects was breath taking. The fight scenes were unbelievable. I still have a hang over or an after shock or whatever you call it. I do hope that there will be more movies like this one in the coming years. I really encourage all of you to watch it. It isn't everyday that you get to see a movie where two of the best martial arts veterans: Jackie Chan and Jet Li, work side by side. If you want to know more about The Forbidden Kingdom click here.

Finally!! I was quite satisfied with how these two chapters turned out, though I'm not really sure whether you'll like it or not though. But still I'm hoping that you would^__^ These chapters and for the up coming chapters would be hmm how should I put this.. yes, I'm planning to give the character developments a fast-paced feel to it because I felt that the story was becoming boring and predictable.^__^ But enough of all this rantings, here's Chapter 10 and Chapter 11 of Hidden Affections.^^ please do read and review. I'm working on it though, just didn't have enough inspiration to put some cute moments here and there^_^ so it's still quite dull. Again I'm behind with all the updates I should have posted..Gomenasai^^ I've been busy and preoccupied with work and such that's why I didn't have the time to update..But here are the updates..^^

The latest chapter for Hidden Affections will be up and running by next week, since I just finished writing chapter 9 ^^ but i still have to re-read it until I'm satisfied with the erhmm events^_^ It seemed a little boring and well..a little corny..not because of mushy scenes but because of the jokes that was in it..hopefully i'll be satisfied with it^^ My muse is not working as hard as she should be..so naturally I'm not that inspired..^^ but I hope you'll look forward for the coming chapters..^^

Gomen minasan for the late update..^^ I was quite busy the past few weeks with projects and stuff not to mention our midterm exam!! I had a hmmm not-so-good week for the past two weeks..^^ so as a consequence.. my muse didn't want to come out and play..but enough of this rantings..

Anyways! i just finished writing chapter 7 for Hidden Affections and it will be up and running at latest by tomorrow evening..i think.. and as for When Hell Breaks Loose..well I reached a writer's block for that one..creating/ imagining too much fight scenes gives me a headache^^ please continue to read and review my uhmm lets just say the result of my active imagination..^^

Happy New Year everyone!! It's 2008 and I wish you all a great year ahead!

So going down to business. As you can see in my Title, yes, I have a writer's block. Well not exactly but I've been having problems with my latest story "Unwritten". I'm not exactly satisfied with it's plot..not just yet. So I have to take a step back for a while and reconsider it. So it won't have any updates soon. Gomenasai mina-san.

On a brighter note, I do have a couple of stories here which I had made like 5-6yrs ago, I'll post it soon. But I have to apologize for some typo errors and gramatically incorrect sentences. Anyways, comments are highly appreciated (the good and the bad^_^).
